We LOVE decorating icon Dorothy Draper, so you can imagine our excitement that Carlton Varney, president of Dorothy Draper & Co., is bringing the designer’s signature style to the new Greenbrier Presidential Express train. This is especially fitting since Dorothy herself designed rooms of The Greenbrier Hotel in the 1940s.
The sure-to-be-chic Express will run from Union Station in Washington, DC to the famous West Virginia resort, encompassing 15 stylish cars that hold more than 200 guests. As reported by fab design blog The Editor at Large, the owner of The Greenbrier had this to say about the development:
“We want to bring The Greenbrier experience to Washington, DC and bring back the glamour of rail travel. Everything from the décor to the food will make you feel as if you are already at the resort.”
Now mark your calendars because this luxe train will embark on its first trip next July. Is anyone else thinking an East Coast road trip may have to be in order?! XO
